Leeds United scored a 96th-minute equaliser to stun Liverpool, forcing a dramatic 3-3 draw at Elland Road.

Both sides were looking to improve their recent run of form heading into this one, but the game truly came to life in the second half.

A quick-fire double from Ekitike seemingly put Liverpool in a comfortable position, but Leeds, who last week seemed devoid of any real confidence, managed to keep themselves in the game.

With just over 15 minutes left, Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate was deemed to have made a careless challenge in the penalty area. Leeds striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin stepped up to squeeze home the resulting penalty.

Three minutes later, Leeds found their equalising goal. Following some nice flowing football, Anton Stech finished the move, putting the ball past Alisson at his near post.

In the 80th minute, Liverpool scored their third of the day, this time a lovely finish from Szoboszlai to bury the ball into the bottom corner.

Many at this point would have felt that the game was wrapped up for the visitors, and as the clock wound down on the nine additional minutes, it looked like Liverpool had secured an important win.

But Leeds kept applying pressure and eventually won a string of corners, the third of which dropped kindly for Tanaka to volley into the top left corner, leaving Liverpool stunned and sending Elland Road into pure chaos!
