Max Verstappen is back in title contention after picking up an important win in Las Vegas.
The Dutchman began the day in second place but took an early lead after Lando Norris went wide on an opening corner allowing Verstappen to take advantage, and he never looked back.
Norris’ day didn’t get much better as both he and McLaren teammate/title rival Oscar Piastri were disqualified from the race race following skid wear regulation breaches.
It was a better day for the Mercedes duo George Russell and Kimi Antonelli who were handed 2nd and 3rd on the podium following the McLaren disqualifications.
Lewis Hamilton made up excellent ground to finish 8th after starting 20th on the grid meanwhile teammate Charles Leclerc finished in 4th as Ferrari will most likely be looking ahead to next season after a disappointing campaign this time around.
As for the title race with just two races left Norris still leads ahead of Piastri and Verstappen, but the gap now is just 24 points meaning it is all still for the taking.
All eyes now turn to Qatar next weekend in what is set to be a fascinating end to the Formula 1 season.
