George Ford put in a man of the match performance as England were victorious over the All Blacks for the first time at Allianz Stadium Twickenham since 2012.

The Sale fly half scored 13 of England’s 33 points, including 2 drop goals, 2 conversions as well as a penalty. He was arguably the coolest man in the TW2 postcode.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for the hosts as they found themselves 12-0 down after tries from Leicester Fainga’anuku and Codie Taylor. But a try from Ollie Lawrence and Fords two drop goals meant England went into half time just one point behind.

After the restart the game was turned on its head, as Sam Underhill and Fraser Dingwall both scoring tries in quick succession to give England a well deserved lead.

New Zealand did capitalise after Ben Earl was sent to the sin bin half way through the second half, Will Jordan finding space to touch down to create a tense atmosphere inside the stadium.

George Ford increased England’s lead as he calmly slotted a penalty 10 minutes later to give England an unassailable lead. Things got even better for Borthwick’s men, following excellent work by Northampton Saints Henry Pollock, Tom Roebuck was able to score Englands fourth try of the game to put the game to bed.

It was an excellent performance from Steve Borthwick’s side as they are extend their run to 10 matches without loss!

Every player put in incredible performances and showed pure desire and drive. A real stand out performance was from the baby-faced Fin Baxter who caused real issues at the scrum, flanker Guy Pepper also but in a brilliant performance but the player of the match could only have been George Ford.

Up next is another tough match for England with Los Pumas in town buoyed by their victory against Scotland today.

The All Blacks will travel to Cardiff where they will be expecting to bounce back against a Wales side that has struggled of late, with the exception of yesterdays last gasp win against Japan.
