As 21 February 2026 rolls around, so does the Netball Super Cup, featuring all eight NSL teams. They will compete in a fast-paced mini-tournament to decide the ultimate pre-season winner.

The Netball Super Cup is a one-day tournament at the Utilita Arena Sheffield, where fans can see their favorite players compete to reach the semi-finals and final. All eight teams are split into two groups of four. Matches are 14 minutes long, consisting of two seven-minute halves.

Like last year’s tournament, the Super Shot will come into play during the final three minutes of each half, giving teams the opportunity to score two points for a long-range shot instead of the usual one. This adds a thrilling level of competition, as it can close a gap or create a massive lead in seconds. The Super Shot has quickly become a fan favorite, adding extra spice and jeopardy to every match.

Are there any extra rules to note? There is no extra time in the group stages, which can end in a draw. However, in the semi-finals and final, if the scores are level after 14 minutes, play will continue until one team is two points ahead. While this "two-point lead" rule is also used in the regular Super League season, the league matches first include a period of designated extra time—unlike the "sudden death" style of the Super Cup.

Will Rolene Streutker remain the queen of the Super Shot as she was during her dominant 2025 season, or will a new challenger be crowned? And can the defending champions, London Pulse, hold onto their title, or will we see a new winner lift the trophy in Sheffield?
